I have a couple of oracle databases and i am migrating the data from the old to the new one ,i have a situation wherein i have to check for a particular timeframe using a query such that if the records from the old database exist in the new database or not.
If exists->ignore (dont do anything)
If not exists->insert that specific filename record into the new db using a stored proc.
I am sure of the latter part wherein i have to use a stored procedure to add data,but how do i go about checking if the data exists or not between the old and the new database using a flow in a efficient manner.
Please suggest?
