Talend MDM Before Logical Delete Process

Hello all,

I was wondering if there is a way to perform a before logical delete process in Talend MDM studio similar to the before delete process. It doesn't look like there is a way to use conditional logic on the before delete process to work for the logic deletes.  We need to implement some logic checks before a user is able to send something to the trash. Is this something that was added to a newer release of MDM? We are using 6.4.1.

Please take a look at Before Deleting process which evaluates master data according to certain conditions before deleting it from the MDM Hub.

Thanks for responding. We are using the Before Delete and Before Save process to do some checks before doing taking action but there are some cases where we only want a user to be able to do a logical delete by moving records to the trash and we want to have some checks on this part also. Talend 6.4 doesn't have a before logical delete process out of the box. Do you know if this functionality has been added to a new release or if it's on the backlog?

Hello,

Here is an operation "Logically delete the selected records" in studio which will delete the record you selected and create a new UpdateReport about your deletion.

The logic delete from studio has a checkbox "Fire Delete Event", if it's checked, it will create a new journal record to record user's action.
