Continuous Integration with Teamcity and Repository management with Git (Bitbucket)

Hi,

We are using Bitbucket for Repository (Version) management and Teamcity for the continuous integration.

Now, we are exploring the Talend for some ETL requirements. And, we would like to implement the Talend jobs using the same infrastructure.

So,

1. Whether it is feasible? upto what extend?

2. If feasible, how should we implement the architecture?

3. Which all talend tools will be required to implement the same?

Please respond at the earliest. As this responses will be pivotal in choosing the appropriate ETL tool or going with custom solution.

Regards,

Mitul Vyas

Any response/solution to this? We are also planing to use TeamCity for Continuous Integration & Bitbucket as Repository management with talend.

This is already supported and will work.

We do support Bitbucket since Talend 6.2.

Our Builds are Maven based. While our documentation uses Jenkins as an example how to set up the Maven builds it will equally work in Teamcity, Bamboo or other CI servers that support maven.

Hi Thomas,

Could you please elaborate the approach?

Moreover, is it possible to implement using Open Studio?

Hi Mitul,

have a read of our Talend Software Development Life Cycle Best Practices Guide. The capabilities I am talking about are only available in the commercial version.

Hello,

Sorry for any inconvenience.

We moved the Talend Documentation Site to a brand new back-end infrastructure before in April, 2024, which could make this link broken.

Please feel free to search any relevant contents what you need from Talend Help Center and have a look at this online documentation about:

https://help.talend.com/en-US/software-dev-lifecycle-best-practices-guide/8.0/what-is-software-devel...

Best regards

Qlik Learning now includes CI/CD Toolkits, among them "Implementing Continuous Integration with TeamCity" and "Implementing Continuous Integration with Bitbucket." While 'start with the Jenkins instructions and adjust from there' is good advice, if your license gives you access to Qlik Learning, which houses information from the former Talend Academy, life is easier.

Regardless of what CI tools you are using, the link Sabrina provided is invaluable.

Thank You

Bob
