Is it possible to write rows using tFileOutputPositional to get the proper formatting but then also capture the positionally-formatted rows it's writing?
I'm looking to capture the actual strings/rows being written to a positional file and writing it to a database record to reflect what the actual text in the file was.
I figure I could read them in after the file is written but that seems extremely inefficient, as well as then requiring additional steps to match up the data.
I guess the other option is to create the positional string with padding prior to writing the file, but I'm trying to modify dozens of jobs to accommodate logging, and that sounds a bit much.
Hello,
Could you please elaborate your case with an example with input and expected output values?
Best regards
Sabrina
