Commit interval on tOracleOutput with existing connection

Hi

When an existing connection is used, the Commit interval option is suppressed in tOracleOutput (TOS-5.6.2).
What will be the commit interval be in this case? 1 row or 10,000 rows?

Is there a reason why the commit interval can't be set in this case?

Regards
Ajay

There is a good reason. A commit affects always the connection and not the statement alone. If Talend would allow to commit within the output component and using an external connection it could lead to unpredictable behaviour. Keep in mind the same connection can be used for various components.
If you need to have such commit behaviour use the internal connection of the component.
