Google OAuth 2.0 OOB deprecated

Hi

We are using the tBigQueryOutput component to access GoogleCloud and have received an email from Google that they are blocking OAuth 2.0 OOB requests in the future: "[Action Required] Migrate your OAuth out-of-band flow to an alternative method before Oct. 3, 2022"

The tBigQueryOutput component is obviously using this method, the redirect url in the code is the following:

   final String REDIRECT_URI_tBigQueryOutput_1_tBQBE = "urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob";

This OOB flow is what google will be blocking:

   What do I need to do

   Determine if your app is using the OOB flow.

   You can inspect your app code or the outgoing network call (in case your app is using an OAuth library) to determine if the Google OAuth authorization request your app is making has the following values for “redirect_uri” parameter.

   redirect_uri=urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob or urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob:auto or oob

   Migrate to an alternative flow ….

How can this be solved in talend? I am pretty lost here. I dont see how i can "migrate to an alternative flow" within talend.

All the developper infos from google dont really help and even our external talend partner doesnt have a possible solution.

Is this issue solved in a certain talend version? (We are using 7.3.1)

Thanks for the answer. Unfourtenetly, raising a support is not really an option as we are using Talend Open Studio. It would be really nice to know if this issue is known at the talend development team and that they are working on it. Seems like users of TOS cant to anything about it and just hope for the best.

Google is implementing the change October 1st 2022 with a one time opportunity to delay the change until January 1st 2023 if i understood correctly.

Is there a chance you could provide some insights from the developpment team? Is this a known issue and placed on your developpment roadmap?

I don't get any related jira issue about this. It seems to be a new feature or workaround.

Feel free to create a jira issue of Bigdata project on talend bug tracker and our R&D team will look into it.

I am quite sure that there is a big number of customers needing this change for the tBigQueryOutput Component.

I am sorry, i dont get it. On https://www.talendforge.org i dont see a way to create a talendforge account, there is only the cloud login. And as this is the jira from talend, talend would need to give me access, not my jira administrators.

I would be very grateful if you could create the jira issues yourself. Please let me know if you need additional info or any other support from my side.
