Install simple Eclipse plugin?
I am running TDQ 5.1.2 and would like to install a simple Eclipse plugin, BPEP (
http://code.google.com/p/bpep/) that adds a command to the Source popup submenu in the routines editor. This plugin has no update site and therefore requires manual installation by copying the JAR to the Eclipse dropins folder. Unfortunately, Talend does not have a dropins folder and, when I manually create one, Talend ignores it and doesn?t install th plugin JAR within that folder. I think this is because the org.eclipse.equinox.p2.reconciler.dropins is not marked to auto-start and therefore p2 doesn?t scan the dropins folder.
Furthermore, if I just copy the JAR to the plugins folder it still doesn?t install the plugin. I assume this has to do with how Talend is built and an Eclipse RCP.
Is there anyway to install simple Eclipse plugins to Talend?

Hi,
It is available Installing simple Eclipse plugin in Talend Open studio of Data Quality but not in TDQ. I think your behavior is correct but Talend Enterprise subscription version cannot support that.
Best regards
Sabrina

Hi, I am using Talend Open Studio for Data Integration v. 5.2.2. Is there a way to install an Eclipse plugin into that version?
I want to install Architexa (http://www.architexa.com).
