Single quote within the context string

I have a scenario where there is a single quote within the context variable string. This causes a data issue.
ABC'D is getting loaded as ABCÂ??D.
Was wondering if anyone has encountered this before and how they worked around it? Thank you in advance.

You may have to escape the string.  Try this...    myString = myStrings.replace("'", "\\'");
