I have ben using the oracle with service name and oracle with SID. ETLs work faster with SID than oracle with service name ? what is the diffference in all the best performance with oracle with sid , oracle with service name , oracle with OCI " or TNS connection.

Hi,

   Personally I have not tested it. My view is that it won't make much difference as long as you have good network connectivity. 

   I would recommend to check with an Oracle DBA about it and also do some performance test yourself with the help of DBAs. They can check in their DB dashboards about any possible performance difference and can advise you.
