will the changes Oracle Java licensing impact on Talen usage.

Hi,

With Oracle starting to charge for Java licencing in 2019, will this affect Talend jobs?

I've been trying to figure out if it will be necessary to license Java on servers that I run Talend jobs on, but I'm finding it very difficult to understand what Java usage falls under the licencing requirement and what does not. Added to that the Oracle licensing model seems very confusing. 

Am I misunderstanding the situation, or do I need to be looking at getting licences?

I believe OpenJDK support is coming. This was mentioned at Talend Connect in London.

Its been month, is Talend started supporting openJDK or is still in development

You will have to speak to support about this. I am not currently aware of when this will happen. I *believe* it will be in v7 at some point though. I suggest either asking support or, if you do not have a support contract, raising a question on here directly asking when Open JDK will be supported.
