An approach I've been following lately, when I have 2 buttons that toggle a state, is to use a single button instead. When you click the button, the associated variable changes its value based on the current value:
And the other properties, such as icon, background color and font color, can follow the value of the variable:
This way I have one less component in the layout container for future adjustments.
