This video will show you how easy it is to create a collapsible filter panel that is both functional and inclusive to your dashboard objects.

In my last blog / video. I showed you how to easily create visual buttons to apply selections and change their visual selection state so they can appear enabled or disabled (selected, not-selected). In this video I'll show you how to setup a filter panel using buttons and the layout container to create a simple collapsible filter panel that is both esthetic and functional while also providing real estate for your dashboard objects.

Amazing video! Many tips that take the developer time to understand, such as editing the container properties instead of the component. It will help to build much richer and more user-friendly interfaces.

An approach I've been following lately, when I have 2 buttons that toggle a state, is to use a single button instead. When you click the button, the associated variable changes its value based on the current value:

And the other properties, such as icon, background color and font color, can follow the value of the variable:

This way I have one less component in the layout container for future adjustments.
