Error while connecting MySQL to Talend

Hello guys,

I am trying to establish a connection from Talend to MySQL. Could someone tell me the steps to do the same?

I downloaded the MySQL 5 Java connector and saved it in C drive. Post that, I used the DB Connections under Metadata to setup my connection! It asks me for login/password/server and I used 127.0.0.1 as the server path. Do I create the login/password there itself or do I need an existing MySQL login/password to establish the connection. If yes, how do I go about doing that?

Sorry for my naivety. Pretty new to this thing!

error mean - You do not have installed MySQL Server (no nay relation for MySQL Connect) installed on Your local machine

Yes, You need already have name and password - You will setup them when will install MySQL server software

Thanks for the reply, @vapukov. Would you be able to advise me which version of MySQL would I require for Talend 7.0.?

You can download installer and follow instructions

but this is only top of iceberg  

version of mysql - depend from what You need it?

why You create this Job?

You are developer of application - You must know all answer already

You are prepare ETL for somebody applications (warehouse or etc) - You must have same version as Your target system

I can not teach You to be a DBA or Database developer here
