Information

Hi there,

In our environment, we use talend remote engine 2.9. We saw in the TMC console a message about RE 2.10.x end of life.

Can we upgrade remote engine without downtime or impact ?

How can we upgrade the remote engine ?

Best regards, Romain.

You cannot update a single remote engines without down time.

The only way to prevent a downtime is using a remote engine cluster. You can easy create a cluster in the TMC simply by adding remote engines (at leats one). The task from this remote engine will automatically moved to the cluster.

Now you can shutdown one of the remote engines and install the new version and add it again to the cluster.

This would prevent a downtime.
