[resolved] tHashOutput tHashInput Technical components missing

I installed TOS for Data Integration version 5.2.1 build id: r95165-20121212-0909 and the documentation shows a great component called tHashOutput - but this is missing from my build. Is it just me or is the quality control of Talend & its documentation really as bad as I think it is?

Once again you've added nothing of value to the discussion. Like many software packages, the Talend documentation is not always accurate. You're a friggin moron. I stand behind my question. If the documentation says that something is possible - and doesn't differentiate on version information, I would expect that function to be available. It just means that Talend doesn't test their documentation any better than they test their software. I guess you get what you pay for.

I wan't trying to help since you can't be polite. Certainly the documentation is not always accurate but some try to suggest improvements rather than just slagging off people.
In any case, the components are clearly there in a normal installation of TOS for Data Integration. So I stand behind my answer! I suggest if you're looking to identify a moron, you try the mirror.

Hi mquinz
The tHashInput/tHashOutput components might have been hidden for some reason or the components are loaded, you can active them by following the steps:
1. Open the project settings window, click Designer, then Palette Settings.
2. Check if the components are in the Hide side, if so, move them to the Show side. If the components have been in the Show side, but you do not sill find them in the palette, move them to the Hide side, and move them back to Show side.

Hi Shong,
Actually even after doing what you suggest, it does not show in the palette. If I go back to the project settings, I can see that again, the Technical group, show within the hidden components. Do you guys have a solution for that?
Thanks!

It's a bug, unfortunately.

I have fixed it doing the following:
1.- Put the Technical folder as Show
2.- Export the Palette Settings
3.- Edit the XML, setting the values to "false" at the end for the Technical elemnts
4.- Import the modified XML
