Hi so I opened talend and then encountered an error "An error has occurred, check log file...". Any ideas on how to fix this? Attached is what is listed in the log file.

Hi @JOHN ZACHARY ABELLA,
I have not experienced this before. Did anything change on your machine between this time of trying to launch Studio and the last successful launch?
It also appears that we may be missing the beginning of the error log. If you look at the first couple of lines of this error file you will see it refers to another one. Could post that as well please? Always check that there is nothing personal that you wouldn't want others to see in the files before posting.
Regards
Richard

I did not change anything during the last successful launch since I just closed talend and opened it after 15 mins. Here is the beginning of the error log

But I only recently tried to switch from local to Git before the last successful launch.

I'm afraid I cannot think of a quick fix to this. It looks like the installation has become corrupt for some reason. I have seen this happen when virus software has taken an issue with one of the config files, etc. The way to mitigate for that is to ringfence your Talend install folders from view of any virus software. However, that may not be the issue here.
Can you reinstall in a different location? Make sure not to delete your workspace folder where you Talend jobs are. In fact, I would back this up first. Then you can move the workspace folder to your new installation.
Sorry about this. I will be showing this to members of our R&D team to see if they can shed any light on it. But I think the fastest solution for you will be to reinstall.

Ah, this may have contributed towards this issue. Talend Open Studio does not natively support GIT. You need our subscription product for that. That's not to say that it is not possible, but I suspect that this has contributed towards this issue.

Hello,
It seems you are not having a good start with environment.
What's OS are you using? Mac OS? If so, please try to set the "-vm" option and point it to your JDK 1.8.0 in TOS_DI-macosx-cocoa.app/Contents/Info.plist
Best regards
Sabrina
