Network is unavailable. please fix it. Unable to download JARs

I am using TOS Data Integration 7.2.1. During job design, if i use any component, it asks me to install related dependency. Upon trying to do so i get "Network is unavailable. please fix it." error . Also observed that "Download and install all modules available" button is disabled. PFA screenshot. I have gone through below post already but unable to resolve the issue.

Hi Sabrina,

what do you mean with usual and unsupported jars?

The issue occurs when I put common components like MS SQL Input and MongoDB Input into my flow: TOS DB ask me to download related JARs but it says no connection is available.

Thank for your help.

Hello,

From your screenshot, you are blocked on automatic download(usual jar files).

Please go to check with client if you are working behind a network proxy, if so, make sure you have correctly set up your proxy and add the web site http://talend-update.talend.com and the port 443 to your whitelist. To access the proxy settings, select Window > Preferences from the menu to open the Preferences window, then expand the General node and click Network Connections.0695b00000PKAGYAA5.jpg

  1. I'm not behind any proxy.
  2. Adding talend-update.talend.com:443 to whitelist didn't help.
  3. Also adding -Dtalend.proxy.HttpClient.useDefaultSettings=true into .ini file didn't solve the issue.

Hello,

No problem for Network connection(anti-virus software or Firewall)?

Have you had a chance to reinstall your talend Open Studio for Big Data V8.0.1 to see if it is OK with you.

Best regards

Sabrina

Issue persists even with firewall/antivirus stopped and reinstalling don't resolve.

Regarding reinstallation, TOS BD is able to download packages only once: after few restarts, suddenly TOS cannot find previously downloaded packages and asks to download them again. Then it starts complaining about network.

Hello,

You are able to get TOS BD V 8.0.1 from source forge freely

https://sourceforge.net/projects/talend-bigdata/files/Talend%20Open%20Studio%20for%20Big%20Data/8.0....

I checked talend nexus website is up well: https://talend-update.talend.com/nexus/#welcome and is it OK with your side as well? Does it work well when you are trying to use automatic download in studio today?

Best regards

Sabrina

Hi,

I did download TOS BD V 8.0.1 from SourceForge and I know Talend nexus website is up.

Indeed in my previous post I have written:

TOS BD is able to download packages only once: after few restarts, suddenly TOS cannot find previously downloaded packages and asks to download them again. Then it starts complaining about network.

So I did not say that TOS BD cannot download packages, I said that something stop working after restarting TOS BD.

Do you want me to debug your product?

Hello,

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I made a testing on V tos BD 8.0.1 and cannot get this issue from my side.

Any more detailed steps can be given to us to reproduce this issue? Is there any error message in your studio log when something stop working after restarting TOS BD?

Best regards

Sabrina
