TOS DI v7.1.1, nothing happens when I want to install Additional Packages

OS : Windows 10

Java : jre1.8.0_201 (64 bits)

Talend DI : v7.1.1 (20181026_1147)

Proxy : none

I'm trying to install the new version of TOS DI v.7.1.1 on Windows 10 but I didn't manage to install any additional packages. I can see optional (2079) and required packages (47) but when I'm clicking on "Finish", nothing is happening...

I've seen that the default url : https://update.talend.com/Studio/tos/7.1.1/ is taking me to a 404 web page. Is it normal?

I tried several solutions coming from previous posts but without any success.

Could you help me as we need to make Talend work in the version 7.1.1 to be able to plug it on a MySQL 8?

Hi,

I've tried accessing the URL from Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. They all display the same thing: "Access Denied". I've also tried changing network connections but to no avail.

Are you able to access to nexus server and search this jar file from repository?

Yes, I'm able to access that site to download the jar file and import it manually into Talend.

Additionally, I also had to download and import a similar jar file from mvn repo to get it working: https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/graphframes/graphframes/0.5.0-spark2.1-s_2.11

Hello @talend_guru，

Is your network OK with you? Are you behind proxy setting? There might be a network traffic pattern caused by the proxy server. Could you please verify it?

Yes. My network is fine. I am able download those Maven jars directly from the Browser in the same network. Only thru. Talend, I am getting the error.

We finalized all our tests during the last days. Migration to v7.1.1 went well and we were able to install additional packages.

I looked at the Jira and other ticket. It says, issue has been resolved in 7.1.2 and 7.2.1 .  I don't see the download for 7.1.2 on Talend web site. How can I get the Zip for 7.1.2?   &7.2.1 seems to be in Beta release. So, we wanted to wait on that.

If we have to use the 7.1.1 only, do you have a patch for the open source version?

Also, other ticket has the following instructions.

1. Go Talend/studio-se-master github project.
2. Clone plojects.
3. Apply the monkey patch below to the tcommon-studio-se  project. It's jut remove the "proxy user is null" problem.
4. Build your snapshot.
5. Extract TOS zip file and Run.
6. Errors are gone.

Can you please send the detailed instructions on the same? How can a normal user do the same?

Any update on this issue? This issue is not solved. But, it was updated as solved.
