Hello,
I am trying to upgrade Talend from 6.0 to 6.4.
The current Talend 6.0 uses nexus version 2.11.3-01 whereas 6.4 comes with a version Nexus(2.14.3-02) Repository Manager OSS.
Step-1) Copying the current "sonatype-work" folder to the new Talend Nexus Installation directory & execute a Jar script to move the artifacts - ("This step is to migrate from an existing Nexus instance to a Nexus version that is compatible with a Talend product version 6.x or higher while keeping your configuration settings and the artifacts you have previously published to the repository")
Step-2) Under TAC admin configuration (in DB config page), "If you migrate from version 6.0, 6.1 or 6.2, you need to move the libraries (external) from the talend-custom-libs Nexus repository to the new talend-custom-libs-release Nexus repository."
Questions:
************
1) We are only upgrading Talend (may not require a Nexus migration to a new version if not mandatory) . Can we avoid migrating Nexus while migrating Talend. Is there a way yo use the current version of Nexus?
Or what is recommended in this regard?
2)) When Talend Custom libraries (external) are located in Sonatype-Work folder, which gets migrated part of Step-1, please can some one explain the significance of Step-2.
Thanks.
