By default,  compose does not give the option to edit the task commands. But there are many instances where one needs to edit the task commands to add custom statements like running status on a table before or after running a particular process number.

Environment

  • Qlik Compose
  • Qlik Compose for Data Warehouse
  • Qlik Compose for Data Lake

To edit the ETL task commands for the data warehouse project:

  1. Go to the Data warehouse pane.
  2. Select Manage
  3. Select the ETL task that you like to edit (CDC or FULL)
  4. Hold the CTRL key and click on the Task commands
  5. Hold the CTRL key, double-click on the process number that needs to be edited, and make your changes.
  6. Click Save

Note: In the edit mode,  the save button should be enabled. See the below snippet for the process flow.

Hi @Nanda_Ravindra - Am trying to edit the task statements using CTRL + double click on the exact statement, but for some reason the scripts gets loaded as read only mode (without option to edit/save), is there any known issue which you were aware off ? or should I need to enable any settings in the enterprise manager to get the edit access

@suraju no need to enable any settings in the enterprise manager to get edit access. Please hold the CTRL key before opening the task commands.

  6. Click Save
