When attempting to add a new SSL cert for port binding, an error message similar to the following is displayed.
C:\Windows\system32>netsh http add sslcert ipport=0.0.0.0:443 certhash=3045c0dab3764dd641a3742253c9b22e07acf645 appid={11223344-4455-6677-8899-AABBCCDDEEFF} clientcertnegotiation=enable SSL Certificate add failed, Error: 1312 A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated.
QlikView
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows
The error message seen is related to the Windows OS, and is not an indication there is an issue with QlikView. It appears to be an authentication failure when incorrectly truncated strings are passed via RPC (specifically the 2nd link). The information at the links below would still validate against Server 2012 as it is an issue with SSL certificates. The error is specific to Windows Certificate Port Binding, but is general as far as which certificate the bind is being attempted on. According the information found, one thing to verify is that the cert has been added to the local machine store as opposed to current user.
Hi,
I had this issue while binding an existing certificate (e.g. wildcard cert used in Qlik Sense Hub).
I solved importing that Certificate via mmc in Local Computer > Trusted Root Certification Authority.
Not clear why the cert needs to be in that container and not just in Local Computer > Personal > Certificates.
Best,
