We want to migrate from Qlik Sense to Qlik Cloud and connect on-premise data sources on a Linux server. However, I have only found information for Windows servers. Is it possible to use Data Gateway - Direct Access with a Linux server?
Also, I looked into the Data Gateway - Data Movement, which, if I understand correctly, moves the data sources from on-premise to cloud. This is preferably not what we want to do, but this is possible with Linux. However, only the RedHat and Amazon Linux versions were mentioned, so it wouldn't work with the Ubuntu version either?
Is there a way to make either data gateways work with Linux Ubuntu?
There is currently no supported way to use Qlik Data Gateway - Direct Access directly on a Linux/Ubuntu server (without a Windows Server VM). Direct Access is a Windows-native product.
For Data Gateway - Data Movement, it is native to RedHat, rather than a Debian-based distro such as Ubuntu, so it is supported accordingly.
For reference, here's the prerequisites for Direct Access Gateway:
Hi @Fara ,
One option is to try install Qlik Data Gateway over WINE ( Linux ). I didn't test this, but it could be a good challenge to discover if it will work.
Bye!
