Qlik Data Transfer error: Could not load connections. This engine has expired

this is less of a question and more of sharing what we recently learned.

we found that this error was trying to tell us that the version we were running had reached end of life. there was a message shown in QDT about new version available, but nothing at all indicated it was about to stop working or no longer supported. When this error appeared:

"Could not load connections. This engine has expired"

- QDT fully stopped working, no files were pushed and none of the connection details could be viewed at all. The connections still showed up, the schedules still showed up, but the connection details screen was blank and this error was there.

If you see the  message about a new version available, you will need to plan to install the updated version soon or it may stop working, and be sure to read the documents and backup the services.conf file BEFORE doing the installation.

Hi @Ken_T ,

Did the version reach the end of support, or did the API token expire?
