Qlik SaaS & Oracle cloud connection

Hi,

we are moving to Qlik SaaS and want to connect to a third party oracle (cloud) Database.

Is it required to do this via the direct access gateway connector? Or if the 'oracle' connector can be used, does it need to be an Public IP adress?

All feedback is appreciated .

Hello, it's not required but depends on your internal network, it could be highly recommended to secure data exchange.

It is not required to use Direct Access Gateway. You can use the Oracle ODBC web connector to a Cloud data source:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/ODBC_Connector_help/Content/Connectors_ODBC/Or...

However, the data source must be accessible to Qlik Cloud. The regional IP addresses that you need to allowlist for the data connection are outlined here:

If you do not want to open a firewall, but you can use HTTPS and WSS, then a Direct Access Gateway server behind your firewall is a solution.
