Solved: QVD Encryption - Qlik Community

Hi,

I have this scenario:

a server with QSE that creates encrypted QVD files by reading data from various sources.

The QVD files are sent to Qlik Cloud via Data Transfer, which is unreadable due to the encryption.

Is it possible to import the encryption key into Qlik Cloud and configure it to be used for decrypting QVDs?

Hi,

Encryption on QSE and Qlik Cloud are not the same, and moreover using custom keys on Qlik Cloud prevents using QDT. Then the only way to perform the transfer is to decrypt app before sending it to Qlik Cloud.

Using REST API may help you to achieve this.
