Recently I had the chance to make a POC for a transition from Qlik On-Premise to Cloud.
I notice that the size of the applications does not seem appropriate, so for this purpose I made a new application, with only one table, and did the same in both environments.
The size of the On-Premise Env. was 261 mega,
When I look at the exact same application in the cloud, I see that the size of the QVF is 419!! mega,
Does anyone have an explanation for this case??
Thanks
Hi @MendyS ,
in the cloud we usually display the minimum "in memory" size, as opposed to the "on disk file size".
There can be a difference that goes up up to 4-6 times.

Same situation here. The on premise Qlik Enterprise Windows app filesize is 4,8GB according the QMC (or should we look at base memory size?). After migrating to Qlik Cloud the app can't load because the appsize has become 11,2GB (while limit app size is 5GB).
The limits vary by edition and features.
All these are in-memory, rather than on-disk sizes. Note also that we count memory slightly differently than in client-managed - user memory is not counted in these figures, and should demand require it we will start up multiple engines to meet demand, but this will not impact the reported memory usage. We also allow more memory to be used temporarily during reloads as long as the final memory figure fits within these limits.
