removing 'Qlik Private Analytics Content Creator' role removes Analytics menu section

Hello ,

We are in an OEM context where user should get access to  apps in managed spaces + being able to create alerts and subscriptions BUT not create his own apps

with 'Private Analytics Content Creator' role, which is the default setup for pro access, the Create option is present and allows to create personal content.

I get the expected behavior by NOT granting 'Private Analytics Content Creator' role to the user ( + turning off the automated role assignment for PRO access )

Unfortunately , this seems to remove access to 'Analytics' section  of the main menu which also contains lists of alerts and subscriptions owned by this user .

without 'Private Analytics Content Creator' role

This is a problem as user now has to open the app to get the list of alerts or subscriptions and manage them.
Is there a way to keep the menu and quick access to 'alerts' and 'subscription' ?

Regards

Thomas

Hi @thomasmaure

I believe it should show the options only when the user has at least one alert or subscription. Does this user have an alert or subscription in that tenant?

Hi Dave,

Yes, I created one alert and one subscription but no change in the menu .
Note that if it was the behavior, this would apply to 'analytics' menu item as well which is not the case as the 2 entries 'alerts' and 'Subscriptions' are always visible.

In fact you are absolutly right , it is just that it requires a logout / login for these 2 menu entries to show up. Thanks for pointing that to me .

Thanks for confirming! I was worried you had found a bug 🙂
