Alternate States in Qlik Sense

I'm trying to work out how to use Alternate States in Qlik Sense.  I've found the below page in the Qlik Sense help but it is pointing me to Alternate States options under Master Items and/or Appearance but I can't find either.  Can anyone point me to where I'm going wrong...

Have you updated the new version of Qliksense Feb 2019 version?

If not yet, please update the Qliksense and you can able to see the Alternate states.

Hi, Update your qlik sense to latest version Feb 2019. Just go with the document.
