Can we add qlik sense table extension in qlik Business(cloud ) version

Hello friends,

I have downloaded and implemented table chart using the qlik sense table extension which has given me some additional features like adding image to the table in the desktop version of qlik. Now I want to do the same in my cloud version of qlik. Can somebody guide if this is possible somehow. I tried to add this extension in the cloud console but it gives a message "Missing fields:name,type.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Regards,

Shilpa

Hi @Shilpa16

Would you please be more specific identifying the extension you are trying to implement with Qlik Business Cloud; I found 3 extensions, which one are you using?

  1. Quick Table Viewer
  2. TableBox
  3. QS Table

It is also possible you are using a different extension. Would you please elaborate on the extension you are trying to implement.

Hope this helps,

Arnaldo Sandoval

Did you whitelist the extension?

Extensions that contain resource requests to external resources must have its origins whitelisted in the Content Security Policy, else the extension will be blocked from rendering.

Thank @Shilpa16

Ok, I also getting some errors trying to implement the QSTable extensions, as I describe below; note I open a support case (02020233 ) on this error as I believe it is a bug, below a summary of the action I took (I mention this topic when I open the case, so Qlik Support people can get more info about this issue:

  • QSTable - latest build  (I tried with the latest build).
  • I got this error; you can see the QSTable extension rendered the data just before the popup error.

  • We followed the advice given by these articles:
  1. Managing extensions
  2. Managing Content Security Policy
  • This screenshot show my Managing Content Security Policy:

Actually, there is very little information on what to type in the Origin, beside the one shown above, I tried my tenant.

  • I explore the extension code, there is not references to external pages, and I did not try to access external pages with my code.
  • This is the HTML code generated by the extension, it ran directly in Chrome.

<table>
<tr>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='0' dim-index='2''>3</td>
	<td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='1' dim-index='2''>32.548470143229</td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='0' dim-index='5''>6</td>
	<td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='1' dim-index='5''>50.126918312162</td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='0' dim-index='4''>5</td>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='1' dim-index='4''>51.453527854756</td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='0' dim-index='0''>1</td>
	<td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='1' dim-index='0''>56.723327562213</td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='0' dim-index='7''>8</td>
	<td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='1' dim-index='7''>61.22445371002</td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='0' dim-index='1''>2</td>
	<td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='1' dim-index='1''>61.256210459396</td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='0' dim-index='9''>10</td>
	<td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='1' dim-index='9''>81.132084131241</td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='0' dim-index='6''>7</td>
	<td  class='numeric selectable'  dim-col='1' dim-index='6''>87.920236214995</td>
</tr>

That's all the things done trying to implement the QSTable extension.

I do not believe the extension is responsible for the Error Message returned by QlikSense Cloud:

  1. Too many open connections.
  2. The Service is offline.
  3. Network issues.

Hi Arnaldo,

Many thanks for your reply.

In the origin I mentioned github link from where I have downloaded this extension.

Also,I also did some research and found it has to do something with the web socket probably. I found the following info:

https://developer.qlik.com/garden/56728f52d1e497241ae69865

In the Installation section, it is mentioned we need to create a content library ,I am not sure how I can do that in the cloud environment.

I would really appreciate if you could let me know the response from the support guys if you get any.

Many Thanks,

Shilpa

Hi Arnaldo,

Sorry I forgot to mention earlier  I have also got the same error  as shown in your screenshot in my app pages after the installation of this extension in the cloud environment. I noticed that this error message is showing only in those sheets where I have used this extension object and there is no such error  when I access the same app in my desktop version with this extension. So I  believe it has to do something with the extension and as per the info in the link in my previous reply it is something related to web socket , browser etc. One more thing is that I have used this extension mainly to add images to my table which I have downloaded from some image sites. I am just wondering is it related to that?

Thanks,

Shilpa

Hi Arnaldo,

Did you get any answer/solution for the error message from Qlik support team?

Thanks,

Shilpa

Hello.

I'v opened a ticket recently about it:

The answer is quite clear: Unfortunately, at this point this is a limitation in Qlik Sense SaaS.
