Hi,
I put pictures in the good libray. I change the picture of the App in Sense Desktop. I see the good picture after validation but I cannot save this modification. If I try to do another modification to have access to the save button, the picture is removed.
I've done some tests today and it works only on Apps created directly in Sense but it doesn't work for converted Apps from QVW to Sense.
Any idea ?
Regards,
Stéphane.
Hi Stephane - are the apps that you convert from .qvw - placed in the C:\Users\<user profile>\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Apps directory - when converting?
Some individuals take the .qvw from the location it resides in and drag it to the Desktop hub where the conversion takes place. This will create the .qvf and the .backup file - IN the same location where the .qvw originated. You can then take the newly created .qvf and place in the Apps directory - refresh the Desktop Hub (press F5). You will see the new app and you should be able to add the image thumbnail to that app, and it should be maintained.
Let me know and I will also try to repro this on my side.
Thanks
Regards,
Mike
Hi Michael,
I have the App in the Hub. I just want to change the picture of the App to use a specific cover picture for each app in the Hub. Demo apps have small pictures. New App created directly in Sense could have a picture but converted apps not.
In this example this is an app created in Sense.

Stephane.
Thanks Stephane - I am attempting the repro now. I will update you shortly.
Mike
Hi Stephane -
I attached my video of the repro steps I used - I do not see this problem.
Can you let me know the exact repro steps? Maybe there is a miscommunication.
Video is attached at the bottom of this post.
Regards,
Mike
Hi Michael,
I don't understand why it is working for you because we do the same thing...
For a new app created in Sense, the save option is active :
I use the same picture for a converted App and the save button is inactive :
I use the same picture to be sure
Sense Desktop version : 1.0.0+Build:21.ms8
Regards,
Stephane.
Try this - take the spaces out of the .qvw name.
replace them with underscores. It may have something to do with the spaces in the original .qvw name.
Mike
I replace spaces by underscores but nothing change. The save button is not active.
Stephane.
Ok then it has to be the version of the product. I am using the latest 1.0.1
i would suggest - you update to that version - a very simple upgrade.
You can get it here: Qlik Sense Desktop | Qlik
Hi,
I 've done the upgrade of my laptop this morning and nothing change. I cannot save the picture selected for converted app (with or without space in the name).

Stephane.
