Change size and color of text object

I use a text object and i'am unable to change text size and color. I hope there is no need of an extension...

Click inside the box and select the text or expression...

Thanks but it don't works. I can only use align left, align center and align right icons.

First select text in the text object ,then color and size options will be enabled .
