Connect to Hive using cloudera odbc

Hello All,

On the Qlik sense machine, i have installed cloudera odbc hive driver and post installation i have been trying to connect to hive but its failing with an error.

 

 

FAILED!

[Cloudera][ThriftExtension] (2) Error occured during authentication.

 

 

Does anyone tried this approach and established a connect using odbc. please let me know how did you resolve it

Hi @VamsiBhagavathula1 , have you checked the Qlik ODBC connector log and see you can find anything related to the error?

@Jack_Guo  the problem is , connection is failing directly with the DSN created on top of cloudera hive odbc driver. The firewall is open to the hive host for port 10000. so how should we even verify this at DSN level ? The authentication is SASL via kerberos with a truststore.pem file.
