DATE WHEN EXPORTED CHANGES TO TEXT

I have below field in dimension, but when exported it changes to text format.

if(GetFieldSelections([Date Format])='US',date([Date],'MM/DD/YYYY'),
 if(GetFieldSelections([Date Format])='International',date([Date],'DD/MM/YYYY')))

when this is exported to excel it changes to text,,,any thoughts please ?

Use the Date function in the frontend while using in the Table or creating Master Item. This solved my format change issue while exporting to excel.
