Date field data does not reflect on app

Hi,

I'm new to Qlik Sense and I encountered a problem after loading data.

My data source is excel sheets which contains a date field in the format 'DD-MM-YYYY'. I am able to view the loaded data in data Manager and the format set is correct. But the data does not reflect in data model viewer and on the sheets to create visualizations. Your help would be highly appreciated.
