Dimension of Current Selections

Hello Everybody!

I would like to create this kind of stacked bar chart:

tomgury_0-1621156975686.png

As you can see, the dimension goes by the selected period.

The "Stack" Dimension should be the "selected period" and the value should always stay "Selected period".

The "Bar" Dimension is the Dimension I would like to Stack Its values with.

The "Previous Period" means 1 year before the "Selected Period".

What i want to achieve:

if I filtered Both "April 2021" And "March 2020" for example- the "Current Period" will show me the values for that time that is chose.

For the "Previous Period", it will show me the values of:

"April 2020" (1 Year Before April 2021 which is chosen in the "Selected Period").

"March 2019" (1 Year Before April 2021 which is chosen in the "Selected Period").

Previous Period = 1 Year Before the Selections Made on "Selected Period"

Its Important to say that i don't want to restrict myself to a Yearly/Monthly/Daily level, but i want the "Previous Period" to show me the values of 1 year before my selections (Whether its Year/Month/Date).

Thanks a Lot,

Tom.

Hi @Lisa_Sun ,

Thanks but this does not help me with the issue of comparing by dates (This year's to last year)

To try to simplify, if i filter 20/05/2021 and 22/05/2021 it needs to show:

For the selected period: 20/05/2021 , 22/05/2021

For the previous period: 20/05/2020 , 22/05/2020

OR:

if i filter 20/05/2021 and 10/04/2021 and  22/05/2020 it needs to show:

For the selected period: 20/05/2021 , 10/04/2021, 22/05/2020

For the previous period: 20/05/2020 , 10/04/2020, 22/05/2019

The solutions you suggested, while good, don't offer me any help as they can compare only one range.

Would love to hear other suggestions.. i thought about doing something in the script with the calendar table but have not figured out a way yet.

Many Thanks,

Tom.
