Hello All,
Do we have "Dynamic CAL assignment" feature in Qliksense as it is in Qlikview?
Hi Nikhil,
Below Thread may help You.
Automated method to allocate Tokens to Users | Qlik Community
Thanks,
Arvind Patil
qlik have expended the way you can use licenses in Sense but essentially you purchase a token and then it's up to you how you use it in your environment
As a named user or as a set of 10 hour sessions quarrentined for 28 days. There are other options that restrict either access to apps or functionality but I think the session one gives you what you need.

Andy
Hey,
Let em elaborate my condition:
I have created a custom Property called 'Group' and assign values as 'Sales' and 'Finance'.
I have created security rule for 'Stream Access'. Now for my Application stream, i hvae added 'Sales' as group.
Now, people belonging to 'Sales' Group only will be able to see this stream application. But now problem is everytime i have to add user in Sales group and then assign Token. Cann't this be done automatically?

If your users are sourced from active directory id leverage the groups in there rather than create groups to be managed in sense.
That cannot be automated in straight way!
You can do the other way around.
If you have created an AD group for the sales users , then in the license allocation rule, add the rule to allocate license users to that group. As the user is already added to the sales group, then (s)he will be able to see the data in stream as well.
If you have nothing as AD groups. You can create an ODBC connection to an excel sheet where you add users to group. The group details can be fetched from there.
In either of ways, you will have to create some groups.
You are correct. One way is to create Groups in AD itself. But that is not feasible as of now
Okay, so you mean to say in QMC-> Data Connection and choose Excel(via ODBC) ?
Also, i knw this is not the correcvt thread but can u let em know in qlikview, at access point can we allow users to see datamodel?
Yeah, you will have load the user data by Excel ODBC connection. However not through data connection. In the left hand bottom side of QMC, you can see an user connection /user directory. You can do it with that.
As far as I know in QV, you cannot let users see data model. The access point works bit differently. In QS it is possible, in QV, not possible.
Another way to it would be, take a snap shot of the model, and load it up as a sheet in the application. I don't know how will that look.
