Hi Guys
Is it possible to dynamically switch between dates and timestamps?
I have a file that is stored on a sharepoint list that is dropped by two different people. One persons data output is in a timestamp format, and the other is in a date format. If I have the columns formatted for dates, when the other person drops the report the next day I will have no dates coming in as it is in the other format if that makes sense?
I am thinking is it just easier to have two identical apps, one configured for dates and one for timestamps and just switch between the two depending on who has dropped the report? Or can you guys think of a better solution?
Thanks ! 😄
Are both formats needed? Does the time value matter, in your analytics? If so, add time (midnight) to your date only fields, or drop the time from the date/time field.
If time does not matter, take a look at FLOOR https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/November2020/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/ChartFunctions/Gener...
