In my data load editor, from our Products QVD I receive field names that look like what is in our Database.
After we use the tool "GINQ0 Master Item Manager" to create Master items.
Let say we create a master item called "Product Brand" based on a field called "BrandDescEN".
Now if we create a graph, we use the master item "Product Brand".
If we filter the data from that graph, the Title of the filter in the selection bar is displayed as "BrandDescEN" which I find confusing for users...
Is it normal? Should we rename our Fields so they match the name of the Master items??
Then when creating Master Dimensions as Drill, we need to use the field names too. and it's the field name that is displayed in Tables... What is the best practice so it's less confusing for users in self-served ?
Hi,
Renaming the fields(with functional name) is a good practices. which helps user to understand the fields more easily.
