The hardware acceleration setting is the root cause of this behaviour.

SOLUTION

Google Chrome

  1. Type chrome://flags in the Google Chrome URL bar
  2. Find Accelerated 2D canvas
  3. Change it to Disabled

Microsoft Edge

  1. Type edge://settings/system in the Microsoft Edge URL bar
  2. Turn off Use hardware acceleration when available

That does indeed look like a defect I recommend you open a case with Qlik Support.

This is possibly the third similar issue I've seen posted in the community the last few days, so it does sound like something that Qlik Support should be made aware of.

What? Is this something that just is and has always been, or an issue that's been introduced either by a browser update or a Qlik update?

I got in touch with QLIK Support that replied:

"Hello Jorge,

This is a known issue caused by the browsers. Please check below article with solution:

Thanks,
Qlik Support"
