Get Completed Months in qlik sense

Hi,

I have to show chart only completed months.

Having data from 01-jan-2017 to 14-Sep-2019, by default requirement is to show last 6 completed months in line chart.

Separate filter for months & year . Selecting sep and 2019 from filter has to show error message, i have to give condition in data handling.

If sep and 2018 has been selected, chart should display from apr 2018 to sep 2018 .

Kindly help me with condition in data handling..

You can try with below expression to get the months ago filed which you can manage to get less than or equal to 6 

12*year(Today())+Month(Today())-12*year(your date field)-Month(yourdate filed)   <=6
