Grouping for a line graph

Hello I am trying to do a line graph of number of deaths over time grouped by individual country.  Year is my dimension and sum(deaths) is my measure.  I also wanted to only include a few years I just entered '1999' for now but this is what I tried so far and its not working.

 =sum(total Aggr (sum({$<Year = 1999}>} Deaths),Country)

any help would be great thanks.

For your set analysis

 =sum(total Aggr (sum({$<Year = {1999}}>} Deaths),Country)

your curly brackets around the year value are missing

If you want a line per Country you can add it as a second dimension.
