Has Qlik Dev removed the QSD download option ?

Hey all,

Anyone noticed or knows of an issue/change with Qlik Developer , download QSD file button pointing to the Qlik Community instead ?

Is this a Qlik policy change or de-implementation of QSD files for unlocking QS desktop ?

That URL will obviously change over time though.

Actually the page does not have QSD file, can someone check and plz share the link if it is showing available ?? i am new to this community please help me out

Hi,

If you go back up to the product releases page on GitHub:

https://github.com/qlik-download/qlik-sense-desktop/releases

You can then search through each of the releases to find the latest that has an unlock key. Presently:

https://github.com/qlik-download/qlik-sense-desktop/releases/tag/v14.129.6

That key is due to expire on the 6th of August, so hopefully a new key will appear on GitHub at some point before then.

If you have a Qlik Cloud account you can authenticate Sense Desktop against there, but if you do not you are somewhat dependent on Qlik making these files available.

I hope you are doing well, you mean if i found the required QSD it will get expired omn 6 AUg 2023, there is a key in month of May showing ..... i can download it, after 6 aug then i can use new QSD file right ??

There will probably be a new key with the new Sense release. Whether that is before or after the 6th I wouldn't like to say.

When I just checked on the May 2023 release it says:

"The unlock file you are about to download expires on October 2, 2023."

Where do you see the August 6th?

Hi @Albert_Candelario 

That is what my Sense Desktop currently says, and I believe I downloaded the file from the May release. It must be that the file in that repository has been updated, rather than a new file being added to a new repository.

That's great that there is a new file available.
