How can I prevent users publishing sheets?

I want users to be able to create their own sheets, but I don't want them to be able to publish them for others to see.

Looking at the out-of-the-box security rules, it looks like I need to disable OwnerPublishAppObject. However, when I try to do this I get the message "An error occurred. The operation failed due to insufficient privileges".

I am logged on as the Windows Administrator user, who is a RootAdmin. The out-of-the-box "RootAdmin" Security Rule ("Root admin should have full access rights") is still in force.

What am I doing wrong? How can I achieve this?

(I'm using Qlik Sense Server 2.1.1.)

HI Tim Jeanes,

Its Simple.

Just Un-check the publish check box. So that users in that stream can not publish their sheets.

QMC > Streams > Security Rules > Security rules for access .... > Actions (Uncheck Publish)
