Hi,
I have installed qlik sense server in Domain:A; I have successfully imported some of the external users from Domain:B via Excel ODBC.
1. I am unable to see the those imported user list in Qlik sense QMC
2. When a user from Domain:B is try to access qlik sense hub its asking username and password,so which user name and password user has to give.
User list in Excel:
userid,name
167234,suman
userid,type,value
167234,email,167234@xxx.com
167234,group,htmts
do you have active directory ?
yes i have
so why did you create an excel odbc user directory rather than active directory type for both domain users ?
anyway try to enter windows credential for domain B users accessing the hub.
I have tried using Active directory also, but unable to add user.
Its showing error.
UDC is not configured/not operational
did you try to untick "Sync user data for existing users" under user directory connector properties ?
let's try.
I have installed qlik sense server in Domain :A
Totally 4 users have RDP access of Domain:A
eg: users lists : xxx@A.com,
yyy@A.com
www@A.com
Whoever part of Domain:A can access the access point and QMC(Everybody is RootAdmin).
Now,
Users from Domain:B are listed below,
eg: users lists : aaa@B.com,
bbb@B.com
ddd@B.com
1 . Do i need to create new username/password in Active Directory of Domain:A for user from Domain:B ?
eg:
bbb@A.com
ddd@A.com
In Qlik sense server, i was trying to add LDAP active directory user list from Domain:B( LDAP://B.com)
its showing error.
Please some help out.
i think you should create two active directory connector.
you don't need to create the same users on B domain.
check if the user are you using have the rights to read AD from domain controller.
You mean that we don't need to create new username/pwd in Domain:A for user from Domain:B.
I don't understand this point : check if the user are you using have the rights to read AD from domain controller. What is domain controller
Please explain bit more.
how does looks like your LDAP connection string ?
