How to apply my design to Qlik Sense

Good morning,

In my company we are moving from power BI to Qlik Sense. We had a drawing on Power BI with this background, to complete it we put the data (KPI in red).

On Qlik, the positioning of the data works in the form of a grid (I put the finest mesh of 42) so I have much more difficulty positioning them.

Do you have a solution or is Qlik not made for this kind of diagram?

Hi @Skygal

a possible solution is the Layout Container Object.

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Design/Introducing-the-New-Layout-Container-Tips-Tricks-Nuances/ba-p/2...

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/February2024/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Visualizations/Dashb...

It allows the free positioning of the objects it contains.

If you are using Qlik Sense Enterprise on windows you need to have the latest version.

Regards

Fabiano

Thank you very much for your answer !
I had seen this option but unfortunately my company has the August 2023 version (patch 6) and does not seem to want to change.

I understand your position.

We upgraded because we needed the new functionalities.

Actually, the best way to resolve your issue is to use the layout container, but if updating the Qlik version is not an option, another possible solution is to increase the grid resolution using this tool: https://github.com/mindspank/ GridChanger

Simply download and access the index.html page with Qlik Sense Desktop running. Your local apps will be listed, and you can choose any one to change the resolution of any of the screens. Then, when uploading the QVF to Qlik Server, the resolution configured will be maintained.

My tip is that you do this on an empty screen, and then just duplicate it during development. Avoid a very high resolution as this may slow down your interface.

If you don't have layout container, you can fix the size of your sheet.

With a fixed size you could positionne your object.
