I have huge problems to edit my app. Following scenario: I moved my app from one stream to another. I wanted to double check if my linked directory where my daily refreshed file resides is still valid.
I opened the app but I can't open the data editor any more. The entry is missing in the menu. The question is why???
Then I decided to duplicate the app. By doing this the app is depicted in my work area. Nevertheless, as soon as I open the app no sheet is inside any more. Where are my two sheets gone?
I then tried to export the app via the qmc and imported it again but again no sheets inside the app. I become desperated 😞
Check that the app its correctly published in the QMC (check if all the data and sheets are correctly inside of it). If the app its fine then the next right move its export the app out of the server through the QMC so you could try to edit it again.
P.S. If this doesnt work try to restart the services of Qlik Sense and try again duplicating the app.

It sounds to me like you expect to be able to edit directly in a published app.
That is not possible.
You can only edit apps in your work area.
If you want to edit a published app you must first make a duplicate of it.
When you want to publish your changes you select the "Replace application" option in the publishing dialogue.
Could it be that you created the two sheets you talk about in the published app?
If so they are listed as "My Sheets" in the app
