Using QlikSense Desktop 3.0
Trying to import data to plot Distance travelled over time (x-axis).
Distance values are like 41049.74 (feet). While importing data from .xls, Prepare data shows automatically as Timestamp. And doesn't have option to reset the behaviour. Please look at the attachment.
Temporary Workaround: For now removed the decimal value and kept the Distance like an Integer. Now System while import is taking as General format. I am looking to import to get full decimal value as a number.
Any suggestions?
After using the Data Manager to import the excel data switch over to the Data Load Editor to change the load statement manually.

Agree with your answer. That is definitely one-dimensional.
Did not explore QlikView much, but in QlikSense liked the flexibility of Data Manager to go back and try to change fields. Doing from Data load editor is more like programming perspective.
Anyways, in my opinion more flexibility to the user from Data Manager can add to more simplicity.
Yeah, it would be nice to be able to overrule the 'suggestions' of the Data Manager.
