Line Chart - display prior year and year to date

Hello,

How do I make the "Year to Date" line stop at the most current month and not shoot downwards and display all those 0's?

Prior Year Expression: =(count(distinct{<[Scheduled Year] = {'2023'},[Exam Status] -= {'X'}>} [Accession Number]))

Year to Date Expression: =(count(distinct{<[Scheduled Year] = {'2024'},[Exam Status] -= {'X'}>} [Accession Number]))

In the chart properties under Presentation > change to Show as connctions / Show as gaps
