Hi,
I'm using a table in which one of the columns contains different URLs for each rows. I have set up the table so that the links are clickable. Some of the URLs are pdf files and when the link is clicked, the file opens in a new tab, which is great. However, some URLs are zip files and when those links are clicked, a new tab opens and closes immediately after. I would like the user to be able to download those zip files when clicking on a URL. Is this possible?
I realize the user can always right click on the URL to copy and paste the URL in the address bar, however, I'm embedding the sheet with an iframe tag and right clicking does not bring up any context menu.
Thanks!

The problem occured with Chrome. I tried with Firefox and when clicking on a link to a zip file from the qlik sense table, I get a save as dialog, like I want. So it's probably something with Chrome. I'll try to investigate further and report here if I find anything in case someone comes accross this problem.
Hi,
Do you have enable pop-up windows set in your browser?
Thanks for your suggestion. Pop-ups were in fact disabled. Tried enabling them, restarting Chrome completely and problem still occurs. Plus in Chrome there is an icon on the right of the address bar when a pop-up is blocked.
I edited the original post, in case.
Is your site accessible to the public? If so, could you please post the url.
FYI, I just created an app locally with a link to a local zip file and it worked fine, so there must be something in particular either relating to the url or to your configuration that is stopping this from happening.
Should've posted it from the start: https://vuesurlesdonnees.montreal.ca/pub/sense/app/edf0ae8a-b7e7-4ccd-a770-47fcbc45c38f/sheet/8b5daa...
You can filter the first column (Numero_demande) for 2021-315 and the last column (Lien_vers_document) contains zip file URL.
Hi,
I notice that if I use Chrome dev tools to copy a cell containing a zip link from your app, then extract the url and paste it in the browser, it works fine. I tried it with this one: http://depot.ville.montreal.qc.ca/acces-documents-diffusion-proactive/Demande2021_2721.zip and it downloaded as expected.
In Edge I see this error appear: "xxxxx.zip can'tbe downloaded securely"
I looked this up and found this entry: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/586004/how-to-avoid-the-34file-can39t-be-download...
So, it would seem to be because your site is https, but the url of your documents is http, and the browser will not allow mixed content.
