Linking fields from different tables

Hello, 

I have the account # from one table and the names of each account in another table. Is there a way to link these together so that I can display 2 columns, one with the account # and the other with the corresponding name of the account? 

What is happening for me now for each account #, it is creating like a 100 rows each with a different name corresponding to the #. Rather than being a 1 to 1 with the correct# and name.
