Max number of characters in the list search field

Hi everyone,

I come across the problem of copy-pasting large number of values into a search box of a field.

It appears to limit the characters to 255, and then just cut the rest.

Is there any way to override this limit?

Or any other alternative that would allow to paste more that 255 chars into search box?
